Run As Service

Accelerator can be run as a service, executing scheduled tasks in the background.

How to install CSI Accelerator service on a server.

Prerequisites:

Install the CSI Accelerator like on a standard workstation.

Warning: If you want to download directly from SAP, the SAP GUI also needs to be installed on the server.

Note: Information that is normally written in the application log file will now be written in the event viewer of windows under applications.

Note: The service will start an instance of CSI Accelerator for each concept you defined (CSI service information), these instances cannot be made visible, you will only see them in your task manager.
Stopping the service will stop all running instances of CSI Accelerator (when running as a service)

Tip: If you want to test run the CSI Accelerator as service for a certain concept add the /service or /RunAsService command line option, this in combination with the /server and /database.
The Accelerator icon will appear in the icon tray of windows, by double clicking you can display the CSI Accelerator (interface)
The SERVICE_USER doesn't have any rights/authorizations to do anything, however scheduled tasks will be executed.
