Create upload file (SAP) - single masters (Export to text).

This feature can be found in the menu: Tools > Roles > Create SAP upload file

It allows the export of roles to a text file that can be uploaded in the SAP system.

The export to text supports generating upload files for:

• Master roles: Master single roles (with or without authorizations)
• Derived roles: roles derived from single master roles.
• Composite roles: Composite roles with single roles relations
• Mixed roles:single roles and composite roles are uploaded in one go.

Following information is required to create the upload files

• Which roles you want to integrate in the upload file.
• SAP release you're going to create the upload file for.
  You can modify the list of SAP releases in the master data under SAP roles.

Note:
The list is directly updated no re-opening of the window is necessary.

• The language(s) you want to export in.
• The desired file size.
  You can let the application split up the upload file in files of x MB.
  Split files are numbered.
  The file number is padded with leading zero's - according to the total amount of files created - so that each number has the same size and the order is not lost when sorting alphabetically.

Options:

• with authorizations
  This will export the master roles with authorization data,
  the derived roles are always exported with authorizations
  and the composite roles don't have authorization content.

Warning: The export of authorizations is not filtered any more on the authorization status. By default all roles will be exported with authorizations. (the filter is still available).

• export object descriptions
  This will export the objects description.
• with user assignments
  This will also export the AGR_USERS table for the selected roles.
• disable t-code menu (invisible)
  This option will make all menu items (based on transactions) invisible or visible.
  If the checkbox is indeterminate the visible setting is not in the export file.

Tip:
Use the report Roles Changed and export to excel to copy/paste the list into the roles selection of the export to text.
You can make an upload file for all the roles changed since the last export date.

File naming:

The naming of the upload files can be changed in the user preferences of the roles. (link)

File size calculation:

The size of a file is based on the size a single role has and moved in an optimized way together.
You can modify the parameters for the calculation of the size of one role in the application settings (link).

Note:After exporting, the application will show a messagebox to inform the end user the export ended.

Note: the role name grid has a selection control icon.
